Los canadienses LUTHARO estarán realizando una extensa gira por España a finales de Agosto por primera vez en su corta carrera. Una banda que presentará su disco debut y no sería de extrañar que algún tema nuevo tras haberlo editado durante la pandemia. Son una banda con temas muy potentes en donde sobresale sin duda la voz de Krista Shipperbottom. Una ocasión única de disfrutar de una banda que viene pisando fuerte y sin duda son una gran opción para este fuerte verano en España.

1. ¿Cómo ha sido la aceptación del público de su álbum debut “Hiraeth” desde el pasado 15 de octubre?

– ¡La aceptación ha sido increíble hasta ahora! Todos los días estamos descubriendo nuevos fanáticos del álbum y no hemos tenido más que comentarios positivos.

2. Uno de los aspectos que más me gustó del disco es la fuerza que le han dado a las canciones, esto sumado a la técnica, melodías y variantes vocales, hacen de él un disco que no solo es variado, sino también muy compacto en términos de todos sus aspectos. Y por supuesto la fuerza de las canciones lo convierte en un disco con mucha adrenalina.

– ¡Muchísimas gracias! Nos encanta escribir canciones que se traducen con mucha energía en el álbum y especialmente en vivo. ¡Es la mejor sensación ver a una multitud realmente entusiasmada!

3. ¿Podemos esperar un nuevo álbum de la banda en 2023?

– ¡Con seguridad! Actualmente estamos en el proceso de escritura.

4. Una extensa gira por España, ¿por primera vez? ¿Qué esperas de estas fechas?

– ¡Sí, es nuestra primera vez en España! Sinceramente, no tenemos idea de qué esperar. Nos han dicho que hay muchos fanáticos del metal apasionados allí, así que solo podemos esperar que seamos bien recibidos.

5. El verano está llegando a su fin, qué opciones tenemos de ver a Lutharo en festivales en 2023 en Europa. Tienes un gran nivel y sería justo verte también en grandes eventos en Europa?

– ¡Absolutamente! ¡Ya hemos asegurado algunas fechas de festivales europeos y tenemos mucho más en proceso! ¡2023 va a ser un año muy ocupado para nosotros!

6. Canadá es un país con una interesante oferta de bandas nuevas y clásicas. Lutharo ha venido para quedarse y ofrecer un estilo muy peculiar y original, gracias a la base rítmica ya la potente voz de Krista.

– ¡Gracias! Sí, nos gusta bromear y llamar a nuestro género musical «metal personalizado». Tiene pequeños fragmentos de algo para todos. Somos tan fanáticos del metal de la vieja escuela como del metal moderno, por lo que es difícil ceñirse a un sonido.

7. Cómo encontraron a Krista, la vocalista. Cuéntanos la historia de su entrada en la banda.

– Krista se unió a la banda en 2014 cuando conoció a Víctor en la escuela secundaria y recién comenzaba el proyecto. ¡Estaba buscando una vocalista femenina específicamente y ella encajaba perfectamente!

8. ¿Cómo surgió Lutharo?

– Lutharo se formó en 2014 por Victor Bucur y Krista Shipperbottom recién egresados ​​de la escuela secundaria. Comenzó como algo divertido, pero a medida que los dos se apasionaron más por la banda, se volvió más y más serio.

9. Su recorrido sólo corresponde a territorio español. ¿Por qué sólo España?

Un promotor en España tuvo la amabilidad de enviarnos un mensaje y pedirnos que tocáramos en algunas fechas, así que, por supuesto, aprovechamos la oportunidad. También hemos oído que hay una escena de metal muy apasionada allí, así que teníamos que comprobarlo.

10. ¿Cuáles son tus cortes favoritos y por qué? Y en directo, ¿cuál es la canción que más te hace vibrar?

– Definitivamente diríamos que nuestra canción «Diamond Back» de nuestro álbum «Wings of Agony» es la que más entusiasma a la multitud, por lo que también nos emociona mucho.

11. Mensaje para los españoles, antes de su llegada y comienzo de la gira

– ¡Estamos ansiosos por conocerlos y bailar con todos ustedes! ¡Siempre mantente metálico!

Canadians LUTHARO will be doing an extensive tour of Spain at the end of August for the first time in their short career. A band that will present its debut album and it would not be surprising that some new song after having released it during the pandemic. 1. How has been the public acceptance of your debut album “Hiraeth” since last October 15th.

– The acceptance has been incredible so far! Everyday we are discovering new fans of the album and have had nothing but positive feedback.

2. One of the aspects that I really liked about the album is the strength that they have given to the songs, this added to the technique, melodies and vocal variants, make it an album that is not only varied, but also very compact in terms of all its aspects. And of course the strength of the songs makes it an album with a lot of adrenaline.

– Thank you very much! We love to write songs that translate very energetically on the album and especially live. It’s the best feeling to see a crowd get really amped up!

3. Can we expect a new album from the band in 2023?

– For sure! We are currently in the writing process.

4. An extensive tour of Spain, for the first time? What do you expect from these dates?

– Yes, it is our first time in Spain! We honestly have no idea what to expect. We have been told that there are many passionate metal fans there so we can only hope that we are well received.

5. Summer is coming to an end, what options do we have to see Lutharo at festivals in 2023 in Europe. You have a great level and it would be fair to see you also in big events in Europe?

– Absolutely! We’ve already locked in a few European festival dates and have much more in the works! 2023 is going to be a busy year for us!

6. Canada is a country with an interesting offer of new and classic bands. Lutharo has come to stay and offer a very peculiar and original style, thanks to the rhythmic base and Krista’s powerful voice.

– Thank you! Yes we like to joke around and call our genre of music “custom metal”. It has little bits of something in it for everyone. We are just as big of fans of old school metal as modern metal so it’s hard to stick to one sound.

7. How they found Krista, the vocalist. Tell us the story of her entry into the band.

– Krista joined the band back in 2014 when she met Victor in highschool just starting the project. He was looking for a female vocalist specifically and she was the perfect fit!

8. How did Lutharo come about?

– Lutharo was formed back in 2014 by Victor Bucur and Krista Shipperbottom fresh out of highschool. It started out as just something fun but as the two got more passionate about the band it got more and more serious.

9. Your tour only corresponds to Spanish territory. Why only Spain?

– A promoter in Spain was kind enough to message us and ask us to play a few dates so of course we jumped at the opportunity. We’ve also heard there is a very passionate metal scene there so we had to check it out.

10. What are your favorite cuts and why? And live, what is the song that makes you vibrate the most?

– We would definitely say our song “Diamond Back” off of our “Wings of Agony” album is the one that gets the crowd going the most so therefore gets us super pumped as well.
