La banda alemana Brunhilde de Punk/Rock/Metal/Alternativo edita su nuevo disco conceptual denominado «27» toda una declaración de intenciones y de anécdotas no precisamente muy agradables, pero así es la vida y Brunhilde nos lo recuerda con estas duras historias reales.

1.Antes que nada dime que no estas cerca de cumplir los 27 ni ninguno de la banda y que
Estarás con nosotros mucho tiempo rockeando sin parar. ;-)?

🙂 Siempre tengo 27 y soy inmortal… Creo que puedo tener «27» al menos 10 veces. Yo nunca envejezco, porque soy un músico y yo rockearemos sin parar. 🙂

2. Bromas aparte, es un título y título muy original para un disco conceptual. ¿Fue idea vuestra o cómo se te ocurrió hacer este tipo de disco?

Me encantan los chistes, gracias! Estaba en busca de un buen tema. Primero pensé en «club 27» y
comencé mi búsqueda en google… Después de un tiempo, se vuelve aburrido porque muchos la gente hablaba y cantaba sobre estas personas del «club 27″… Así que conocí a Charlie en nuestro estudio y volvimos a hacer una lluvia de ideas sobre el concepto… Pensamos en ello y decidió buscar personas que también fallecieran a los 27 años y que tuvieran una historia que contar. Así comienza el proyecto…. Todas las historias de nuestras canciones están basadas en historias reales. (Por favor aviso: no se nos permite decir los nombres de todos estos)

3. Solo un año después de “To Cut A Long Story Shor” vuelves con una nueva y álbum conceptual, ¿no lo ves como algo apresurado? ¿O es el momento adecuado para ¿contar una historia?

No, usamos el descanso Corona. No pudimos tocar en vivo… Así que comenzamos «27» en julio de 2021.
– Escribimos y grabamos todo el disco en tan solo medio año. Estábamos llenos de ideas. y quería escribirlo. Creo que fue el momento perfecto para otro álbum de Brunhilde. porque nunca quisimos descansar!

4. Sois una banda con estilos variados; Punk/Rock/Metal/Alternativo e incluso algunos Stoner, como en el corte «Son of a gun». Esto es sin duda una ventaja cuando se trata de llegar a un público más amplio. ¿Hay algún estilo en el que te sientas más cómoda o estés eres tan versátil?

Creo que hacemos el estilo de música que amamos. No hay cajón para Brunhilde. Amo gran parte de los estilos musicales… Como Stevie Nicks, Soloman Burke, System of a down, Rammstein, Limp Bizkit o Godsmack. Me siento cómodo con la música que amo. Esto es un razón por la que hago música… Puedo crear lo que quiero. 🙂

5. Esta variedad en el álbum hace que el álbum sea muy agradable y propicio para descubriendo la banda en diferentes facetas. Sin duda uno de los puntos fuertes de su nuevo trabajar.?

Esto es Brunilda 2.0. Hay una línea roja dentro de nuestra música, pero cada canción es diferente…
No hay nada más aburrido que un disco con todas las canciones sonando igual. creo que es uno de los puntos fuertes de Brunhilde. Cada canción tiene un sentimiento diferente, que se transmite a través de la música y la voz.

6. Con solo un año de diferencia entre el lanzamiento de “To Cut A Long Story Shor” y “27” ¿no significa esto un estrés adicional al volver al trabajo de escribir y ¿grabación?

Sí, fue estresante. También con las historias tristes. Eso me puso de los nervios. leí tantos cosas horribles sobre las historias individuales. Era muy pesado en la parte superior a veces. Ahora estamos concentrándonos en tocar en vivo y hacer buenos shows.

7. Hay un tema que me encantó por lo directo que es y me refiero a “Eye for an eye and Tit for tat. Sin duda un himno en futuro directo. ¿Cuéntanos sobre este corte?

Quería una canción de dos minutos… Una canción que le diera un puñetazo en la cara. “Eye for an eye
and Tit for tat» era una historia sobre dos tipos que robaron a una prostituta. La violaron y robaron sus 50 dólares. Uno de ellos era «mentalmente defectuoso» o no muy inteligente. los otro tipo le dijo: mátala, y lo hizo. Fue arrestado y condenado a muerte. Él podía elegir entre la inyección de veneno o la electrocución. El elige el electrocución. Murió también a la edad de «27».

8. “The End” me parece otro corte sensacional, una semi balada con mucho sentimiento detrás de él, delicado y valiente al mismo tiempo… cuéntanos sobre este tema.

«The End» es una canción de «The Doors». Me gustan „las puertas“ y Jim Morrison. También la historia de Morrison y su muerte. Muy interesante y tanto mito sobre el motivo de su muerte. «El Fin» me dice
¡¡»todos los finales»!! Fin de Corona, fin de la guerra, fin del disco «27» 🙂 y fin de todo lo que apesta Creo que es suficiente para cuestiones políticas. Es hora de vivir de nuevo.

9. Un disco con historias duras como por ejemplo “niña con 1000 cicatrices” nada que lamentablemente no hemos visto, ni una guerra en ucrania, irak, siria… vivimos en un mundo complicado. ¿Cuál es su mensaje personal para aquellos que sufren estos problemas?

«Please make the world better». Solo hay una sonrisa o una palabra amable para tu compañero.
hombres. Es muy fácil, pero hacemos que todo sea más difícil de lo que es. Sobre la guerra… tengo algo
decir… En alemán es un proverbio y trato de traducir en inglés….alemán: «Stell dir vor es ist Krieg und keiner geht hin»…. Inglés: «Imagina que hay una guerra y nadie se unirá “Este dicho me ha acompañado desde mi infancia y se pega como una pegatina en mi la puerta principal de la tía. Nada más que decir 🙂

La historia de «The Girl With 1000 Scars»… Esta es mi historia favorita!! Pero que triste… La niña fue violada toda su vida! De su niñera al clérigo y también de sus clientes. No tenía hogar, era stripper y también tenía una relación con un pedófilo. Ella fue una boarderliner y tenía tantas cicatrices en los brazos y en todo el cuerpo. Ella también tenía un tatuaje en su brazo: «No tengas miedo de pedir ayuda» fue el mensaje. un día ella se suicidó… Antes de morir escribió un libro. Este libro se llamaba «The Girl With 1000 Scars». El libro nunca fue publicado. Pero espero que lo sea. En su libro dejó la verdad sobre los chicos y sus vidas… Nombró a todos los chicos que habían abusado de ella durante toda su vida. Esa fue también la primera canción que grabamos en el estudio. ¡Amo esta canción!

10. Esa portada tuya desnuda de espaldas con el 27 marcado me ha pillado atención. Explícanos la idea de hacerlo así.

La portada surgió más bien por accidente. 🙂 Quería algo que fuera llamativo y oscuro al mismo tiempo. También debe mostrar vulnerabilidad y miedo. Este álbum es oscuro, sobre tipos malos que hacen cosas malas y personas que no son amables con el destino. Este es mi memorial para todas estas personas no famosas que murieron con la edad «27».

11. Sois una banda relativamente joven, con 4 discos en 7 años, desde 2015, que representa el buen estado de forma y creatividad que tienes. ¿Cuál es el próximo paso?

El siguiente paso es dar conciertos y mostrarle al mundo lo que podemos hacer. trabajamos tan duro
en nuestra música y tuvimos tanto tiempo en corona… ¡Ahora tenemos que salir! Pero de todos modos
tenemos tantas ideas para nuevas canciones de nuevo… 🙂

12. Brunhilde está de regreso y te lo cuenta sin censura. que mensaje le mandastus fans en España y Latinoamérica.

The German Punk/Rock/Metal/Alternative band Brunhilde releases their new concept album called «27» a declaration of intentions and not exactly very pleasant anecdotes, but that’s life and Brunhilde reminds us with these hard true stories.

1. First of all, tell me that you are not close to turning 27 or any of the band and that you will be with us for a long time rocking non-stop. ;-)?

🙂 I’m always 27 and I’m immortal… I think I can be «27» at least 10 times. I never get old, because I´m
a musician and I will rock non stop. 🙂

2. Jokes aside, it’s a very original title and reflection for a conceptual album, whose idea was it or how did you come up with making this type of album?

I love jokes, thanks! I was in search of a good topic. First I thought about «club 27» and i started my search on google… After a while, it becomes boring because so many people talked and sang about this persons from «club 27″… So I met Charlie in our studio and we brainstormed again about the concept…. We thought about it and decided to look for people who also died at the age of 27 and who have a story to tell. So the project starts…. Every story in our songs are based on true stories. (Please notice: we are not allowed to tell the names of all these)

3. Only one year after “To Cut A Long Story Shor” you come back with a new and conceptual album, don’t you see it as something rushed? Or is it just the right time to tell a story?

No, we used the Corona break. We couldn’t play live… So we started «27» in July 2021. We written and recorded the whole album in just half a year. We were full of ideas and wanted to write it down. I think it was the perfect time for another Brunhilde album because we never wanted to rest!

4. You are a band with varied styles; Punk / Rock / Metal / Alternative and even some Stoner, as in the cut «Son of a gun». This is certainly an advantage when it comes to reaching a larger audience. Is there a style in which you feel more comfortable or are you that versatile?

I think we make the music style that we love. There is no drawer for Brunhilde. I love much of music styles… Like Stevie Nicks, Soloman Burke, System of a down, Rammstein, Limp Bizkit or Godsmack. I feel comfortable with music I love. This is a reason I make music… I can create what i want. 🙂

5. This variety in the album makes the album very enjoyable and conducive to discovering the band in different facets. Undoubtedly one of the strengths of your new work.?

This is Brunhilde 2.0. There is a red line inside our music, but every song is different… There is nothing more boring than an album with all song sounding equaI. I think that’s one of Brunhilde’s strengths. Each song has a different feeling, which is conveyed through the music and voice.

6. With only a year of difference between the release of “To Cut A Long Story Shor” and “27” doesn’t this mean an additional stress in going back to the work of writing and recording?

Yes, it was stressfull. Also with the sad stories. That got on my nerves. I read so many horrible things about the individual stories. It was very top-heavy at times. Now we are concentrating on playing live and doing good shows.

7. There is a theme that I loved because of how direct it is and I mean “Eye for an eye and Tit for tat”. Undoubtedly a hymn in future direct. Tell us about this cut?

I wanted a two minutes song… A song which punshed in the face. «Eye for an Eye and Tit for tat» was a story about two guy that robbed a prostitute. They raped her and stole they´re 50 Dollars back. One of them was «mentally defective» or not very smart. The other guy said to him: kill her, and he did. He was arrested and sentenced to death. He could choose between the poison shot or the electrocution. He choose the electrocution. He was died also at the age of «27».

8. “The End” seems to me to be another sensational cut, a semi-ballad with a lot of feeling behind it, delicate and brave at the same time… tell us about this topic.

«The End» is a «The Doors» song. I like „the doors“ and Jim Morrison. Also the story about Morrison and his death. Very interesting and so much myth about the reason for his death. «The End» tells me «all endings»!! End of Corona, end of the war, end of the album «27» 🙂 and end of everything that sucks. I think it’s enough for political issues. It’s time to live again.

9. An album with hard stories like for example “girl with 1000 scars” nothing that unfortunately we haven’t seen, or a war in ukraine, iraq, syria… we live in a complicated world. What is your personal message to those who suffer these sufferings?

«Please make the world better». There is just a smile or a lovely word to your fellow men. It is so easy but we make everything harder than it is. About war… I´ve something to say… In german it is a proverb and I try to translate in english….german: «Stell dir vor es ist Krieg und keiner geht hin»…. English: «Imagine there is a war and nobody will join it“ This saying has accompanied me since my childhood and sticks as a sticker on my aunt’s front door. Nothing more to say 🙂

The Story about «Girl with 1000 scars»… This is my favorite story!! But so sad… The girl was raped all her life! From her babysitter to the churchman and also from her punters. She was homeless, a stripper and also in a relationship with a pedophile. She was a boarderliner and had so many scars on her arms and all over her body. She also had a tattoo on her arm: «Don’t be afraid to ask for help» was the message. One day she killed herself… Before she died she wrote a book. This book was called «The Girl With
1000 Scars». The book was never published. But I hope it will. In her book she left the truth about the boys and their lives… She named every guy who had abused her all her life. That was also the first song we recorded in the studio. I love this song!

10. That cover of yours naked from the back with the 27 marked on it has caught my
attention. Explain us the idea of doing it like this.

The cover came about rather by accident. 🙂 I wanted something that was striking and dark at the same time. It should also show vulnerability and fear. This album is dark, about bad guys doing bad things and people who aren’t kind to fate. This is my memorial for all these not famous people who died with age «27».

11. You are a relatively young band, with 4 albums in 7 years, since 2015, whichrepresents the good state of form and creativity that you have. What is the next step?

The next step is to play gigs and show the world what we can do. We worked so hard on our music and had so much time in corona… Now we have to go out! But anyway we have so much ideas for new songs again… 🙂

12. Brunhilde is back and she tells you uncensored. What message do you send to
your fans in Spain and Latin America.
