New EP by the South Africans Truth Decayed who began their journey during the 2020 confinement. After releasing a first EP they have toured the world and now they return with five classic thrash metal whips that will leave you speechless.
«Faded Visions» opens fire with an Exodus-esque riff that builds as the song unfolds. Hard and to the gum. «Absolute War» begins with a display of virtuosity on the part of its battery. We love that the cut has such an 80’s production and that it reminds us of bands like the early Metallica, Megadeth or Testament. The nostalgia exercise also includes its own elements in which the band moves perfectly.
«The World I Know» is committed to a more 90’s metal with a touch of fair and appropriate aggressiveness. Its power is as unquestionable as its quality. The handling of the riffs plays in his favor to become one of the cuts that should not be missing in his concerts. «PTSD» takes your breath away from the first note. In addition, it enters you at first to establish a sound framework that you know and that will help you easily connect with its melody.
Finally, «The Witches’ Watch» is an instrumental cut with a 1985 sound that is very surprising. It is here where the band demonstrates that it would also know how to adapt to mid-tempo and that its instrumental capacity is excellent. If you miss the golden age of thrash, this album is made especially for you.
