Este dúo ruso le dedica el disco a Mr. Crowley y se adentra en terrenos del gótico y del doom con bastante acierto. «Dead Language» arranca muy a lo King Diamond hasta que entra la voz para marcar la melodía. Buen comienzo. «The Quest» fue su single y les ha generado bastante atención. La mezcla de estilos como el gótico, el death técnico y el doom es muy equilibrada y acertada.

«Empty Rooms» es nuestro tema favorito porque pensamos que es el que mejor encaja con lo que te esperas de un grupo así. Gran trabajo con la melodía y el desarrollo del tema. «Long Odds» tiene un arranque muy potente de puro metal, pero respetando esos matices distintivos de la banda. Es otro de los grandes temas del disco. La banda quizá debería explorar más este estilo ya que se encuentra bastante a gusto durante el desarrollo del tema.

«Mute» es un medio tiempo clásico de heavy metal, pero con un trabajo excepcional de las guitarras. Posiblemente, sea la canción que les abra más puertas. «At Sea» cierra el álbum recopilando todo lo arriba indicado. Pensamos que tras tantos años de carrera, el grupo ha dado un paso adelante y ha logrado que su música sea más exportable. Sería interesante verles en directo para comprobar cómo son capaces de plasmar sus ideas en un escenario. De momento, nos quedamos con un disco recomendable que te sorprenderá muchísimo por todos los detalles sonoros que esconde.

«Dead Language» starts very King Diamond until the voice comes in to mark the melody. Good start. «The Quest» was their single and has generated quite a bit of attention for them. The mixture of styles such as gothic, technical death and doom is very balanced and successful.

«Empty Rooms» is our favorite song because we think it’s the one that best fits what you expect from a band like this. Great job with the melody and theme development. «Long Odds» has a very powerful start of pure metal, but respecting those distinctive nuances of the band. It is another of the great songs on the album. The band should perhaps explore this style more as it is quite comfortable during the development of the theme.

«Mute» is a mid-tempo heavy metal classic, but with some exceptional guitar work. Possibly, it is the song that opens more doors for them. «At Sea» closes the album compiling everything indicated above. We think that after so many years of career, the group has taken a step forward and has made their music more exportable. It would be interesting to see them live to see how they are able to translate their ideas on stage. For now, we are left with a recommended album that will surprise you a lot for all the sound details it hides.
