Crítica de Soulcrifice de Lined - Art Gates Records

Para aquellos que no sepan quienes son, os contaremos que son de Euskadi, y este es su segundo trabajo. La banda se mueve en el Death Thrash Metal. Básicamente a modo de resumen, su base instrumental es thrash metal y su voz se mueve en un rango Death Metal lo que crea una combinación curiosa y llamativa. «Soulcrifice» ha sido grabado, mezclado y masterizado en Auryn Studios por Tristán Iñiguez.

Su segunda obra posee además de esa esencia del thrash más clásico, que son secciones veloces y punzantes, pasajes melódicos y técnicos que hacen de este segundo esfuerzo una combinación interesante de descubrir. Me ha gustado la energía que transmite este disco, porque suena crudo y potente, además de un sonido claro que nos pemrite apreciar los variados detalles del disco.

Tras una intro con «Bad Omen» nos damos de frente con exquisito y potente riff y base de las que contagian y hacen amigos. Un tema intenso, debido a una raíz compacta que posee secciones rápidas y violentas que son una maravilla. «Buried Alive» mantiene la potencia de «Rotten Society» , incrementando la fuerza y potencia con secciones de pausa muy vistosas en donde la banda desarrolla pasajes melódicos muy interesantes incluido una larga sección final instrumental que me ha gustado mucho, ya que la banda explora distintos tiempos.

De «Slaves» me ha gustado los efectos que le han metido en algunas partes a las voces y el solo que se marcaron. Ese es otro de su puntos fuertes, que la banda finaliza muchos temas, con amplios pasajes instrumentales, lo que da pie a disfrutar de muchos detalles. El hecho que la banda le dedique especial atención a este apartado ayuda a tomarle un gusto especial a su segundo disco. Su segundo punto a tomar en cuenta es la frescura y fortaleza que nos transmite, no solo por sus secciones violentas, sino en todo el amplio espectro del disco, ya que los temas ofrecen un grato balance de emociones.

No esta de más añadir que el hecho de que sean españoles, añade un gusto extra, debido a que la calidad de nuestros músicos en todos los géneros es amplio y brutal. Hombro con hombro con lo que nos viene de fuera. Y eso es algo que no debemos nunca olvidar.

Las primeras impresiones que recibes en la vida en general son fundamentales, lo mismo sucede con los discos que escuchamos, una portada, una canción, o un directo. Con Lined, fueron directas y como un golpe de aire fresco. Me gusto el carácter del disco, sus amplios parajes técnicos y la manera tan original de acabar sus canciones. Un álbum en donde todos los temas dejan huella, no es precisamente algo que encuentras todos los días de allí el encanto de «Soulcrifice».

Basically as a summary, its instrumental base is thrash metal and its voice moves in a Death Metal range creating a curious and striking combination. «Soulcrifice» has been recorded, mixed and mastered at Auryn Studios by Tristán Iñiguez.

His second work has, in addition to that essence of the most classic thrash, which are fast and sharp sections, melodic and technical passages that make this second effort an interesting combination to discover. I liked the energy that this album transmits, because it sounds raw and powerful, as well as a clear sound that allows us to appreciate the varied details of the album.

After an intro with «Bad Omen» we find ourselves face to face with an exquisite and powerful riff and a base that infects and makes friends. An intense theme, due to a compact root that has fast and violent sections that are wonderful. «Buried Alive» maintains the power of «Rotten Society», increasing strength and power with very attractive pause sections where the band develops very interesting melodic passages including a long instrumental final section that I liked a lot, as the band explores different times.

From «Slaves» I liked the effects that the voices have gotten in some parts and the solo that was marked. That is another of its strengths, that the band ends many songs, with extensive instrumental passages, which gives rise to enjoy many details. The fact that the band pays special attention to this section helps to take a special liking to their second album. His second point to take into account is the freshness and strength that he transmits to us, not only for its violent sections, but throughout the entire spectrum of the album, since the songs offer a pleasant balance of emotions.

It is not superfluous to add that the fact that they are Spanish, adds an extra taste, because the quality of our musicians in all genres is broad and brutal. Shoulder to shoulder with what comes from outside. And that is something that we must never forget.

The first impressions you receive in life in general are fundamental, the same happens with the records we listen to, a cover, a song, or a live performance. With Lined, they were direct and like a breath of fresh air. I liked the character of the album, its wide technical settings and the original way of finishing its songs. An album where all the songs leave their mark, it is not exactly something that you find every day from there the charm of «Soulcrifice».
