Crítica de Black Soul Horde - "Land Of Demise"

Desde Grecia nos llega esta banda que auto edita su segundo álbum tras su debut hace siete años de «Tales Of The Ancient Ones». Con «Land Of Demise» la banda nos ofrece un trabajo de ocho cortes muy dinámicos que nos remiten a la vieja escuela del heavy metal, y que cuya intensidad me hace recordar aquel gran clásico de Slayer «Reign In Blood» (1986) en esta ocasión nos referimos al thrash metal con un trabajo de poco menos de 30 minutos (28:57) en donde encontrábamos un disco con mucha vehemencia. Ese entusiasmo lo encontramos en este trabajo de Black Soul Horde en donde la banda a lo largo de sus 35 minutos (35:09) nos hacen un repaso del heavy metal más clásico y explosivo que podáis imaginar.

Han pasado unos buenos siete años desde que Black Soul Horde de Grecia lanzó su primer álbum «Tales Of The Ancient Ones» y muchas cosas han sucedido y cambiado desde entonces, pero su amor por el buen heavy metal de la vieja escuela sigue siendo fuerte y a prueba de balas.

El resultado final es un poderoso álbum de heavy metal lleno de riffs pesados y ganchos asesinos que complacerán incluso al fanático más acérrimo del heavy metal. Producido, grabado, mezclado y masterizado en Mothstudio Productions, Atenas, Grecia por John Tsiakopoulos, el guitarrista y compositor de la banda «Land of Demise» presenta a Vasilis Nanos como baterista de sesión y la increíble obra de arte de Remedy Art Design.

El disco arranca con su sencillo y vídeo más pegadizo «Stone Giants», que con un riff muy típico del estilo nos muestra el camino a seguir y nos enchufa de golpe con el buen hacer y sentir de la banda. Un corte largo que permite degustar la amplia faceta instrumental de la banda y sus creativos solos. Este tema nos muestra que la agrupación le ha puesto dedicación al hacer cortes amplios, lo que permite degustar variados solos y pasajes instrumentales muy originales. Algo que aumenta y mucho el gusto por este segundo trabajo.

«Into The Badlands» continua la senda dejada por «Stone Giants» con un poco más de vértigo. Genial la antesala del solo con un batería potente marcando el camino del solo que es además muy variad en sensaciones. «A Neverending Journey» nos ofrece un corte de medios tiempos con los típicos riffs estilo Judas Priest. Este tema en particular ofrece una pequeña montaña rusa de sensaciones, lo cual lo convierte en un corte a degustar con calma debido a su interesante devenir.

No esta de más comentar que la voz del cantante encaja de forma perfecta en el estilo e incluso le añade ciertos cambios vocales que le aportan un aire novedoso a sus temas. Aunque pueda parecer un disco corto, la longitud de las canciones y el buen hacer de la banda, consiguen que los más de treinta minutos los pasemos descifrando y disfrutando un disco muy emotivo para los amantes del heavy metal más clásico y porque no decir más añejo. Esos sonidos que nos hacen viajar en el tiempo y recordar lindos tiempos y experiencias.

«Troops Of The Damned», es otro enorme tema que nos mantiene pegados a la silla con sus peculiares riffs y coros. La velocidad que imprimen en el inicio y los posteriores cambios de ritmo, son sin duda una de las joyas de su nuevo trabajo. Todos los arquetipos que puedas imaginar en el género heavy, los posee este álbum, por lo que lo recomendamos positivamente, ya que son de esos discos que según escuchas sus primeros riffs, te enganchan, te hacen parar lo que estas haciendo y preguntar quienes son, y a partir de allí, la vida como que mejora y agradeces que aún haya músicos que mantengan viva la llama del estilo más puro.

Incluso podéis iniciar por «el final con «Lord Of All Darkness» y todo quedará dicho y entendido, dada la magestuosidad en el inicio y posterior desarrollo del corte. Un trabajo muy interesante en donde cada tema va sumando y con ello el apego a su obra. Y su final no podría ser más cañero con «Iron Will». Un corte que levantará polvo en sus futuros directos.

Un disco que nos ha marcado y dejado huella y que nos ha gustado bastante y que es genial para aquellos que recordamos los viejos tiempos, cuando todo esto empezaba sus primeros pasos. Aunque disfrutemos y mucho lo que los años nos ha ido ofreciendo musicalmente, no olvidemos que esta banda es actual, su disco es del 2020, por muy raro que haya sido este año, y que la banda nos ha regalado una obra sensacional de puro y clásico heavy metal.

«Into The Badlands» continues the path left by «Stone Giants» with a little more vertigo. «Troops Of The Damned» is another huge song that keeps us glued to the saddle with its peculiar riffs and choruses. The speed they print at the beginning and the subsequent changes of pace are undoubtedly one of the jewels of their new job. All the archetypes that you can imagine in the heavy genre, this album has, so we recommend it positively, since they are one of those albums that according to listen to their first riffs, hook you, make you stop what you are doing and ask who they are , and from there, life improves and you are grateful that there are still musicians who keep the flame of the purest style alive.

Από την Ελλάδα έρχεται αυτή η μπάντα που κυκλοφορεί αυτομάτως το δεύτερο άλμπουμ τους μετά το ντεμπούτο τους πριν από επτά χρόνια του «Tales Of The Ancient Ones». Με το «Land Of Demise» το συγκρότημα μας προσφέρει ένα έργο οκτώ πολύ δυναμικών περικοπών που μας παραπέμπουν στο παλιό σχολείο των βαρέων μετάλλων και των οποίων η ένταση με κάνει να θυμάμαι αυτό το υπέροχο κλασικό Slayer «Reign In Blood» (1986) σε αυτό Μερικές φορές αναφερόμαστε στο thrash metal με ένα έργο μόλις κάτω των 30 λεπτών (28:57) όπου βρήκαμε ένα άλμπουμ με μεγάλη ένταση. Βρίσκουμε αυτόν τον ενθουσιασμό σε αυτό το έργο του Black Soul Horde, όπου το συγκρότημα στα 35 λεπτά του (35:09) μας δίνει μια κριτική για το πιο κλασικό και εκρηκτικό heavy metal που μπορείτε να φανταστείτε.

Το άλμπουμ ξεκινά με το μοναδικό και πιο ελκυστικό βίντεο «Stone Giants», το οποίο με ένα πολύ τυπικό riff του στυλ μας δείχνει το δρόμο προς τα εμπρός και μας συνδέει όλους ταυτόχρονα με την καλή δουλειά και την αίσθηση του συγκροτήματος. Η ταχύτητα που εκτυπώνουν στην αρχή και οι επακόλουθες αλλαγές του ρυθμού είναι αναμφίβολα ένα από τα κοσμήματα της νέας δουλειάς τους. Παρόλο που απολαμβάνουμε και πολλά που μας έχουν προσφέρει τα χρόνια μουσικά, ας μην ξεχνάμε ότι αυτή η μπάντα είναι τρέχουσα, το άλμπουμ τους είναι από το 2020, ανεξάρτητα από το πόσο σπάνιο ήταν φέτος και ότι το συγκρότημα μας έχει δώσει ένα εντυπωσιακό έργο καθαρού και κλασικό βαρύ μέταλλο.
