Tercer disco de esta banda australiana que indica que mezcla el power metal europeo con el thrash metal americano. No van de farol tal y como confirman en «Blood on the water», un corte que recuerda a Mercyful Fate y a Exodus a partes iguales.  «Full force» te deja seco desde el primer segundo con un riff atronador que tiene mucho de Kreator y que elige su propio camino a medida que avanza el tema. «The last candle burns» tiene una melodía de power metal indiscutible enmarcada en un entorno thrash brutal. El contraste no puede ser ni más adecuado, ni más emocionante.

«Dark & misterious times» comienza con el clásico galope de Maiden para ir encontrando su propio espacio. Te encantará si te gusta el metal más clásico. «Screaming eagle» es de esos cortes que parecen que no dicen demasiado, pero que escuchados en varias ocasiones comienzan a confirmar su validez. Enorme el trabajo musical y del cantante que consigue, como en el resto del disco, sorprender con su calidad. «Into oblivion» es un duro y a la encía que te deja sin aliento, sin piedad alguna, la banda derrocha su calidad en un tema que te volará la cabeza.

Esto se empieza a acabar con «Awakening» que entronca con el metal más moderno, pero sin dejar la base ochentera. El gran final con «Create a new world» es insuperable. Melodía clásica, un desarrollo musical a la altura de las circunstancias y una grata sensación son la mejor manera de cerrar un disco.

No creas que van solo a demostrar lo buenos que son y a marcarse un riff que te enganche. Se complican bastante la vida para crear temas que digan muchísimo y que necesites escuchar repetidamente para disfrutarlos todavía más. Merecen el salto a Europa y una larga gira para demostrar su indudable valía. Te sorprenderán.
