Séptimo lanzamiento de lo argentinos Dream Master que tienen claro que van a por todas. Arranca la fiesta con «With Honour», un corte que recuerda bastante a los mejores Iron Maiden y que tiene una pegada impresionante.

«Circle Of Deceit» cambia de coordenadas sonoras para ubicarse más en un metal más duro y potente. Nos gusta bastante el tratamiento de la voz y que incluyan pinceladas más modernas en este corte. «House Of Cards» es metal a lo Judas Priest desde el primer segundo. Lo mejor es que también consiguen sorprendernos en el terreno de la dureza más absoluta.

«Dreamland» te va a sorprender por ese riff épico, por su apuesta por el power metal y por incluir todo lo que necesita un buen tema de metal: buena voz, letra ideal y una estructura clásica. «Don ́t Let the Darkness Win» vuelve por la senda de los riffs machacones y por el metal más clásico a lo Helloween. Su melodía entra a la primera y puede ser la canción que le abra más puertas a nivel internacional.

«Unlock The Code» es la apuesta del grupo por el metal progresivo y por darle un poco la vuelta a lo de siempre. El resultado es un tema que sorprende dada su indudable calidad y adaptabilidad a las distintas corrientes del metal. «Surrender Is No Option» es algo así como decir «hasta aquí hemos llegado». Su riff te explota en la cara, su velocidad es la más adecuada y su interés es indudable para poner a prueba al grupo. Otro reto superado y otro temazo.

«How ́s The Future Looking Now» combina un poco de todo, lo progresivo se funde con las estructuras más clásicas y el resultado es un tema lleno de matices que debes escuchar con detenimiento para no perderte nada. «Drop Your Swords» es otro portazo de lo fuertes. La banda brilla a gran nivel y la combinación de la cristalina voz del cantante con coros guturales lo convierte en, posiblemente, el mejor corte del disco.

«Fortune Roulette» recuerda ligeramente al metal clásico de los 80, pero con las ventajas de la modernidad. Está muy bien equilibrado y es ideal para escucharles por primera vez. «Mental Breakdown» es rápido, incisivo, letal y te deja sin respiración. No se puede tocar mejor ni conseguir nada más en una única canción. Otra vez la sombra de Dickinson está muy presente en la voz, pero ello no debe empañar el enorme trabajo musical que hay detrás. Imprescindible.

«Resources Drying» es un medio tiempo lleno de partes instrumentales perfecto para cerrar un disco como este. La banda saca los galones a pasear y se permite el lujo de incluir diversas corrientes del metal con una eficacia enorme. Como punto final del álbum es la mejor opción.

Si llevas algún tiempo pensando que esto del metal está pasado de moda y que hay que mezclarlo con otros géneros para que resulte, escucha este disco. Sabrás que no todo está escrito y que Dream Master lo tienen todo para dar el salto a nivel internacional dejando en ridículo a bandas que hace décadas que firmaron su mejor disco.

Seventh release of the Argentine Dream Master who are clear that they are going for it all. Get the party started with «With Honour», a cut that is quite reminiscent of the best Iron Maiden and has an impressive punch.

«Circle Of Deceit» changes its sound coordinates to place itself more in a harder and more powerful metal. We quite like the treatment of the voice and that they include more modern touches in this cut. «House Of Cards» is Judas Priest metal from the first second. The best thing is that they also manage to surprise us in the field of absolute hardness.

«Dreamland» will surprise you for that epic riff, for its commitment to power metal and for including everything a good metal song needs: a good voice, ideal lyrics and a classic structure. «Don’t Let the Darkness Win» returns to the path of pounding riffs and the most classic Helloween-style metal. His melody enters the first and may be the song that opens more doors for him internationally.

«Unlock The Code» is the group’s commitment to progressive metal and to turn things upside down a bit. The result is a theme that surprises given its undoubted quality and adaptability to the different currents of metal. «Surrender Is No Option» is something like saying «this far we have come». His riff explodes in your face, his speed is the most appropriate and his interest is unquestionable in putting the group to the test. Another challenge overcome and another great song.

«How’s The Future Looking Now» combines a bit of everything, the progressive blends with the most classic structures and the result is a song full of nuances that you should listen carefully to not miss anything. «Drop Your Swords» is another slam of the strong. The band shines at a high level and the combination of the crystal clear voice of the singer with guttural choirs makes it possibly the best cut on the album.

«Fortune Roulette» is slightly reminiscent of classic 80’s metal, but with the advantages of modernity. It is very well balanced and is ideal for listening to them for the first time. «Mental Breakdown» is fast, incisive, lethal and takes your breath away. You can’t play better or achieve anything more in a single song. Once again the shadow of Dickinson is very present in the voice, but this should not tarnish the enormous musical work behind it. Essential.

«Resources Drying» is a mid-tempo full of instrumental parts, perfect to close an album like this. The band takes the gallons out for a walk and allows themselves the luxury of including different currents of metal with enormous efficiency. As the final point of the album is the best option.

You will know that not everything is written and that Dream Master have everything to make the leap to the international level, leaving bands that signed their best album decades ago in a ridiculous way.
